Further Password Advice:

You should make your password as hard as possible for anyone to guess - so don't use family/partner names, the name of your house, the town or village you live in, etc.

A suggested approach is to pick four or five random words and use them as your password, e.g. correcthorsebatterystaple. (But please do not use this example!). Password length is important, hence the requirement for at least 16 characters. This makes it much more difficult for anyone to guess your password by brute force, since the number of possible combinations increases exponentially with password length.  But using the suggestion above, you should be able to construct a password which is easy for you to remember and easy to type, yet extremely difficult for anyone else to guess.

Do not choose something that is identical or similar to any other password you have ever used.

If you must write down any password, keep it somewhere secure which only you can access. Alternatively, consider using secure password management software.

Several unrelated words are fine, but do not use one single long word or name. We check against a very large dictionary which includes proper names and words from several languages.
