Undergraduate members of College reading for a first undergraduate degree may apply for Vacation Grants to assist with the costs of their remaining in Oxford to pursue their academic work and/or take university exams in the forthcoming vacation. Each eligible student may apply for up to 17 nights' Vacation Grant in any one financial year (1 August - 31 July). Each subject has an allocation of nights directly proportional to the number of its students, and it may be that the allocation will be exhausted if each student in the subject wishes to claim for 17 nights. Cases of exceptional need will still be able to be dealt with even if the subject allocation has been exhausted.
Periods of less than 3 consecutive nights are not eligible for Vacation Grants.
Claims for examinations can only be made up to the night before the last exam.
£21.79 per full day for 2016-2017 (until 31 July 2017)
£22.44 per full day for 2017-2018 (from 1 August 2017)
For the coming vacation, the dates you may claim for are for the period between Saturday 17th June (8th week) and Wednesday 4th October (0th week).
How To Claim
The Vacation Grant can only be claimed once the vacation has ended. To claim the grant, students must complete the online Claim Form. Link will be sent out in 8th week each term. The Claim Form must be returned by noon on Monday of 1st week after the vacation to the Academic Office for the Academic Director to approve. CLAIM FORMS SUBMITTED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Battels credits for authorised claims are issued early in term.
Please note: subject tutors do not need to sign the forms any more!
